Mac OS X Snow Leopard is the next major version of Mac OS X Leopard. Apple unveils the core innovation behind this next version of most advanced operating system. Apple promises the Snow Leopard is more than just changes and adding new features, it changes focus, builds on Leopard's, Snow Leopard will streamline Mac OS X, enhance its performance and set new standards for quality, as well as reducing the footprint of Mac OS X to make even more efficiency for users.

To support breakthrough amount of RAM, up to theoretical 16 TB, Snow Leopards extends the 64-bit technology, a 500 times more than what is possible to do today.

Snow Leopard is also includes out-of-the box support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 built into Mail, Address Book and iCal.

Snow Leopard introduces Quicktime X, a streamlined, next-generation platform that advances modern media featuring optimized support for modern codecs and more efficient media playback. It's also promises Safari to run JavaScript 53 percent faster.

Another new sets technologies built into Snow Leopard are Grand Central and OpenCL. Grand Central is unrivaled support for multicore system to Mac OS X which takes full advantage by making Mac OS X multicore aware and optimizes it for allocating tasks across multiple cores and processors, which drives performance increase.

OpenCL or Open Computing Language, is Snow Leopard technology that lets the developers efficiently tap the vast gigaflops of computing power currently locked up in the graphics processing units(GPU) and redirects it for general-purpose computing.
